Independent solar power developer AMPYR Energy USA has announced the acquisition of two utility-scale solar projects in North and South Carolina, totaling a combined capacity of 210 MWp.
The projects are in advanced stages of development, and the company is optimistic about securing long-term power purchase agreements (PPA) by the end of this year, according to the company's statement.
Details about the investment were not disclosed. This acquisition enhances AMPYR Energy USA's growing pipeline of over 4 GW of carbon-free energy projects in the United States.
Launched about two years ago, New York-based AMPYR Energy USA is a joint venture between AGP Sustainable Real Assets and AMPYR Group's Hartree Partners, aimed at establishing a 5-GW solar portfolio.
