Fugro's Quest vessel has departed from Falmouth, UK, to begin geotechnical survey work at the proposed Dogger Bank South (DBS) West site in the North Sea.
Over the coming months, Fugro will gather essential geo-data to assist RWE and Masdar in the design and development of up to 100 turbines.
The UK Planning Inspectorate recently accepted a Development Consent Order application for the 3GW Dogger Bank South wind farm for examination.
The site, located off the northeast coast of England, is being developed in two phases, DBS East and DBS West, each potentially hosting up to 100 turbines.
