EnBW and Partners Launch 68 MW Solar Park in Baden-Wurttemberg

EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg AG (ETR: EBK) and its collaborators Thuga Erneuerbare Energien and Stadtwerk Tauberfranken have inaugurated a 68 MW park in the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg. This (PV) plant, the largest of its kind in the southwestern federal state, was celebrated at an official ceremony attended by Baden-Wurttemberg's Minister for the Environment, Action and Energy Affairs.

Situated in Kulsheim, Main-Tauber district, the Gickelfeld solar complex comprises two distinct plants sharing common facilities, grid connections, substations, and cabling. It is projected to generate sufficient electricity annually to meet the needs of approximately 24,000 homes.

“The larger of the two solar parks has an installed capacity of about 38 MW, installed by Thuga Erneuerbare Energien and Stadtwerk Tauberfranken,” noted EnBW.

EnBW operates the smaller 30 MW plant independently. Notably, both solar farms will operate without financial support from 's Renewable Energies Act (EEG) funding scheme.
