JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd has finalized a significant contract to provide 1 GW of solar modules for the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in Saudi Arabia.
The project, led by Saudi-based ACWA Power Co and Air Products (NYSE:APD), is under development with Larsen & Toubro Ltd managing renewable energy generation, storage, and grid infrastructure.
The modules specified for the project are JinkoSolar’s Tiger Neo ‘N-Type TOPCon’, as announced by the Chinese company in a social media update on Friday.
ACWA Power, NEOM, and Air Products achieved financial closure on the NEOM green hydrogen plant in May 2023, with a total investment amounting to USD 8.4 billion (EUR 7.76 billion). The plant is scheduled to commence operations in 2026.
