Skyborn Renewables Seeks Approval for 3,900-MW Offshore Wind Project in Sweden

' local unit in has submitted a recommendation to the country's government to approve the proposed 3,900-megawatt (MW) wind project.

The announcement was made today, signaling the government's next steps in evaluating the project. Niclas Broman, CEO of Skyborn Sweden, expressed hope for a prompt decision from the state.

The Eystrasalt wind farm is slated to be constructed in the Bothnian Sea, approximately 60 kilometers from Hudiksvall municipality.

If approved and developed, the facility aims to generate 15 terawatt-hours (TWh) of annually, featuring up to 256 turbines.

The commercial operation date (COD) is targeted for 2032, according to information from the company's website.
