has appointed to conduct power curve verification at the 496MW St Brieuc wind farm, situated off the coast of , . This collaboration aims to enhance understanding and optimize the wind farm's operational performance, establishing a benchmark for future offshore projects.

DNV will utilize nacelle lidar technology to gather critical data, supported by Ailes Marines, a subsidiary of Iberdrola, which developed the 62-turbine wind farm now fully operational since May 2024.

Santiago Blanco, DNV's executive vice president and regional director for energy systems, highlighted their expertise: “DNV is at the forefront of power performance measurement using nacelle lidar technology. This project underscores our capability to deploy advanced technologies while adhering to rigorous industry standards in wind energy.”

The power curve verification project includes designing, commissioning, and executing a power performance measurement campaign for three turbines. DNV will ensure compliance with the updated IEC 61400-50-3:2022 standard by calibrating lidars at their testing facility in Germany.

Jerome Dumont, Offshore Wind Resource Manager at Iberdrola, expressed confidence in the partnership: “Following the commissioning of Saint Brieuc Offshore Wind Farm, we look forward to leveraging DNV's expertise to monitor wind conditions and optimize asset performance using nacelle LIDAR technology.”
