German solar developer Goldbeck Solar GmbH and solar cells manufacturer DAS Solar have announced plans to collaborate on a major solar farm project near Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands, with a capacity of 145 megawatts (MW).
Known as Solar Project Swan and owned by Energy Solutions Group, the installation marks a significant addition to the country's renewable energy infrastructure.
The contract for the project was signed during the Intersolar Europe event in Germany earlier this month, according to a statement from DAS Solar released on Thursday.
Energy Solutions Group, headquartered in Belgium, focuses on renewable energy as an independent power producer. The company recently expanded its presence in the Netherlands with a new office in Amstelveen, strategically located near Schiphol airport.
