Electrify America to Install 20 ‘Hyper-Fast’ EV Charging Stations in Utah

, through its commercial unit, and , a division of , have initiated the rollout of 20 DC fast charging stations in , marking a significant expansion of (EV) infrastructure in the region.

According to Electrify Commercial and Rocky Mountain Power, the deployment includes more than 80 chargers spread across 15 DC fast charging stations in the Salt Lake City area and five stations in surrounding regions. Four stations have already been activated in Millcreek, Vernal, Moab, and Kimball Junction.

Rocky Mountain Power, Utah's sole rate-regulated public utility, will own and operate the new charging stations. Each station will feature “hyper-fast” chargers capable of delivering speeds up to 350 kW. The utility plans to offer discounted pricing to its customers.

Since 2016, Rocky Mountain Power has been actively expanding EV infrastructure in Utah, installing over 120 DC fast chargers and establishing an electric highway corridor along Interstate 15. Additionally, the utility has facilitated the installation of more than 3,000 Level 2 chargers at workplaces, retail locations, and multifamily housing developments, investing $50 million in EV charging infrastructure across the state.

All 20 new DC fast charging stations in Utah will be integrated into Electrify America's nationwide charging network, accessible through the “locate a charger” map, which currently features over 950 stations and 4,250 chargers across the U.S. and Canada. Drivers will be able to locate and pay for charging sessions using the Electrify America mobile app on Rocky Mountain Power's chargers.
