Vestas Secures 72MW Turbine Order for Holtsee Wind Project in Germany

, the Danish wind turbine manufacturer, has clinched a substantial 72MW turbine order from for the wind project in Schleswig-Holstein, .

The order entails the delivery of 10 V162-7.2MW turbines and encompasses the full spectrum of supply, delivery, and commissioning of the hardware.

Vestas' vice president of sales central, Sulai Fahimi, emphasized the efficiency of their EnVentus platform, stating, “This order from customer Denker & Wulf AG underlines the efficient technology of our EnVentus platform, as the V162-7.2MW is the perfect fit for the site providing high annual production and excellent cost of energy for our customer.”

Denker & Wulf AG's chief executive, Torsten Levsen, highlighted the importance of new and efficient technologies in navigating the evolving challenges of the wind energy market. He stated, “New, efficient technologies are needed to best meet the changing challenges in the rapidly growing wind energy market.”

The agreement also includes a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, ensuring the optimal performance of the turbines.

Hardware delivery is slated to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025, with commissioning expected to be finalized by the first half of 2026. This project marks a significant collaboration between Vestas and Denker & Wulf AG, promising successful future endeavors together.
