Renewable Parts US has named Michael Forbes as the president of its North America Region in response to the company's sustained growth and increased demand in the United States.
With a track record of thirteen years, Renewable Parts has evolved into a leading independent supply chain specialist in wind energy across the UK and Europe. By internalizing the refurbishment and remanufacture of various components, the company has effectively addressed parts obsolescence and supply chain strain while promoting a circular economy within the wind industry.
Renewable Parts, a founding member of the Coalition of Wind Industry Circularity in the UK, recognized a rising demand for refurbishment and remanufacture solutions in North America, prompting the establishment of Renewable Parts LLC last autumn.
Michael Forbes, who has spent the past seven years with Renewable Parts in the UK, spearheading the growth of the Innovation Centre, will now relocate from the west coast of Scotland to Houston, Texas, to oversee the new workshop and develop sustainable parts solutions for customers.
“I am delighted to formally announce that I will be taking up the new position and relocating to Houston with my family,” Forbes stated. “After focusing more on the US market over the last 12 months and designing tailored solutions for our customers there, I see a tremendous opportunity to drive cost reduction, minimize downtime, and mitigate waste in the industry.”
Forbes expressed gratitude to the entire team at Renewable Parts for their support and highlighted the company's culture of fostering real career progression. “Since joining the company, we have witnessed significant expansion in our workshop, warehouse, and headcount,” he added, emphasizing the continuous growth opportunities within the business.
