Greenvolt Next has announced the launch of a new energy storage system aimed at improving the efficiency of solar power utilization.
The distributed generation (DG) unit of Portuguese renewables company Greenvolt – Energias Renovaveis SA will roll out the Solar Storage offering across its operations in 10 countries. According to the company, this advanced system has the potential to yield significant savings of up to 70% on electricity bills for business customers when combined with solar arrays.
In addition to its conventional function during periods of low sunlight, Solar Storage enables the storage of energy from the grid for use during peak pricing periods.
Greenvolt Next highlighted the importance of this innovation for the expansion of its pan-European self-consumption platform, which currently boasts a backlog of 312 MWp.
