In a landmark move signaling its entry into the Philippine wind energy market, Goldwind has inked a pivotal agreement with The Blue Circle (TBC) for the Kalayaan 2 project. Representing a significant leap for Goldwind, the 100.8MW initiative marks the company's inaugural foray into the Philippine wind energy sector.
Situated in Laguna province, the Kalayaan 2 project is slated to employ 17 units of cutting-edge 6MW turbines. Goldwind has committed to providing a comprehensive array of services encompassing supply, transportation, installation, commissioning, and a 10-year maintenance program.
The Philippines has set ambitious targets for renewable energy adoption, aiming for a 35% share by 2030 and a 50% share by 2040.
