Ethical Power has appointed Rachel Ruffle as Chief Operations Officer (COO) of its global business, signaling a pivotal moment in the company's expansion strategy.
Ruffle brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as Chief Executive of EMEA and a member of the Group Executive Board at RES. Her distinguished career also includes roles on notable industry platforms such as The Renewables Infrastructure Group's (TRIG's) Advisory Committee and directorships at prominent trade bodies including Wind Europe, Energy UK, and Renewable UK.
In her statement, Ruffle underscored the urgency of transitioning to a net-zero energy system while simultaneously reducing costs. “If we are to transition our energy system to net zero and reduce energy costs, then now is the time for a purpose-led organization like Ethical Power to scale up their operations and meet the demand for clean, green, and low-cost renewable energy,” she emphasized.
Expressing enthusiasm for her new role, Ruffle praised Ethical Power's integrated capabilities and rapid growth trajectory. “Ethical Power is well positioned to deliver on the green energy transition thanks to its vertically integrated capabilities,” she remarked. “It has shown an incredible pace of growth so far, and it'll be a great privilege to use my experience to drive further progress.”
Thomas Kneen, Chief Executive and Founder of Ethical Power Group, hailed Ruffle's appointment as a significant milestone for the company. “This is an incredibly important appointment for Ethical Power, and I'm thrilled to have Rachel fill the post,” he stated. Kneen expressed confidence in Ruffle's ability to play an instrumental role in advancing the company's growth agenda and achieving ambitious targets for the future.
