, a German manufacturer of FVT modules, has inaugurated a cutting-edge factory in Ottendorf-Okrilla, near Dresden, . With an impressive annual capacity of 50 MW, equivalent to producing 120,000 modules per year, this facility stands as the largest FVT production plant globally. Sunmaxx aims to further expand its capacity to an ambitious 3 GW in the future.

The newly opened factory will manufacture modules designed to provide both electricity and heat to a wide range of buildings, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures. Sunmaxx has integrated thermal management technology from renowned German automotive company Mahle into its technology, ensuring seamless functionality and enhanced performance.

Sunmaxx's PX-1 modules, certified by the German Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Systems (), boast an impressive overall efficiency of 80%. These modules, measuring 1,750 mm x 1,140 mm x 38 mm, feature 108 M10 format PERC half cells, delivering an electrical power output of 400 W with an efficiency of approximately 20%.

In addition to generating electricity, the panels offer a significant heat output of 1,200W, corresponding to an EtaO thermal collector efficiency of 60%. This remarkable efficiency was validated by the German institute under optimal conditions, highlighting the panels' performance capabilities under full sunlight and specific temperature and wind conditions.
