(HCE), a Colorado electric cooperative, and wholesale electricity supplier have entered into a power offtake sharing agreement for the output of a 200MW wind park owned by Resources in Colorado.

According to Guzman Energy, the contract covers the entire generation of the Bronco Plains II Energy Centre. Under the agreement, HCE will receive electricity from 150MW of the wind farm's output in the winter season, while Guzman Energy will receive the remaining 50MW. In the summer months, each company will offtake 100MW.

In addition to electricity, HCE and Guzman Energy will also own the associated renewable attributes, including credits (RECs), generated by the complex.

The Bronco Plains II Energy Centre, located in Kit Carson County in eastern Colorado, consists of 72 turbines that were commissioned in late 2023. The site's output is estimated to be sufficient to supply up to 40,000 homes annually.
