Habitat Energy Optimizes 50MW Camilla Farm Battery for NextEnergy Solar Fund and Eelpower

Habitat Energy has commenced the optimization of the 50MW/50MWh Camilla Farm battery on behalf of Next Energy Solar Fund (NESF) and . The project, located in Fife, , is one of the largest operational battery sites in the country, aimed at enhancing the integration of intermittent , particularly Scotland's significant offshore wind capacity.

NESF-Eelpower chose Habitat Energy as their trading and optimization partner for the Camilla Farm battery. Habitat Energy will facilitate market access and optimize the battery across various revenue streams, including the balancing mechanism, trading, and ancillary services.

Designed to potentially expand to a two-hour (100MWh) duration asset, Camilla Farm is poised to play a crucial role in decarbonizing energy by providing balancing services to the . This will enable the integration of higher levels of renewable generation, supporting grid stability.
