The divested project, set to be realized in Bingham and Bonneville counties of southeastern Idaho, is currently slated to feature over 300 MW of wind, solar, and storage capacity. However, there are plans for potential expansion, with an additional 800 MW of solar capacity envisioned for the future.
Construction is expected to commence next year, paving the way for commercial operations to commence by late 2026.
The acquisition of the Arco Wind and Solar project bolsters PacifiCorp's diverse portfolio of generating resources across its system, spanning the western states of Oregon, Washington, California, Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming.
This strategic move aligns with PacifiCorp's commitment to expanding its renewable energy footprint and advancing sustainability initiatives across its operating regions.
