Portugal’s AdC Approves EDP’s Acquisition of 17 MW Solar Arrays

's Competition Authority (AdC) has approved the of 17 MW of solar arrays by a subsidiary of the Portuguese electric utility group EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP).

EDP Comercial – Comercializacao de Energia SA (EDPC) will be acquiring two small-scale solar projects situated in the municipalities of Crato and Trevoes, as per AdC's recent non-opposition declaration.

These projects consist of 18 individual solar production units, each boasting a maximum installed capacity of 1 MW.

The intention to acquire these solar projects was initially disclosed to AdC by EDP on December 22, 2023.
