Port Szczecin Joins Offshore Wind Port Alliance to Strengthen Capacity for Green Energy

Poland's has officially become the seventh member of the Wind Port Alliance, expanding the alliance's reach and potential for collaborative efforts in the offshore wind sector. The alliance, comprising now seven members, aims to address the challenge of limited port capacity hindering the construction of offshore wind farms.

Dennis Jul Pedersen, CEO of Port and spokesperson for the Offshore Wind Port Alliance, welcomed Port Szczecin into the alliance, stating, “Our goal is to optimize the deployment of offshore wind, and we are very pleased to welcome Port Szczecin as a member of our alliance. Szczecin is a forward-looking port where Vestas currently is building factory facilities. The port is developing an area for offshore wind and has high ambitions for wind in general. That makes them a perfect fit for the Offshore Wind Port Alliance.”
