Japanese real estate and renewables investor Ichigo Inc has initiated operations at the Ichigo Ebino Suenaga ECO Power Plant, a 13.99-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) facility situated in Miyazaki prefecture.
Comprising 25,680 panels spread across 573,567 square meters of former agricultural pasture land in Ebino City, the solar farm is anticipated to generate more than 17.4 million kWh annually. This output is expected to meet the annual power demand of approximately 5,800 local homes.
The Ebino Suenaga solar farm represents Ichigo's 64th operational renewable energy plant in Japan, contributing to the company's growing portfolio. With this latest addition, Ichigo reaches a total installed capacity of 188.27 MW, including assets held by its yieldco, Ichigo Green Infrastructure Fund Investment Corp.
The development aligns with Japan's push towards increasing renewable energy capacity and underscores Ichigo Inc's commitment to sustainable energy initiatives.
