NOVEC Energy Production Halifax County Biomass, a South Boston-based energy company, has announced the extension of its Operation and Maintenance Agreement (O&M Agreement) with PIC Group for the Halifax County 49.9MW biomass power station.
The renewed agreement solidifies PIC Group's responsibility for day-to-day operation and maintenance services at the Virginia-based biomass facility, which utilizes wood waste as a feedstock to generate renewable energy, capable of powering approximately 16,000 households.

Michael Davis, HCB Fuel Procurement and Plant Operations Manager, expressed satisfaction with PIC Group's performance in managing the biomass power station over the past 5 1/2 years, leading to the decision to renew the contract for an additional three years. Davis conveyed pride in the partnership with PIC Group.
Frank Avery, President and CEO at PIC Group, highlighted the company's commitment to ensuring high-level performance across the power plants under its management. The renewal of the service agreement with NOVEC Energy Production Halifax County Biomass, according to Avery, serves as testament to PIC Group's ongoing success in delivering operational excellence in the energy sector.
