Cadeler's latest offshore turbine installation vessel, “Wind Peak,” has reached a pivotal milestone with its successful launch at Cosco Shipyard in Qidong, China.
The completion of the vessel's hull is a significant achievement for Cadeler, marking the culmination of two years of intricate engineering and 18 months of construction, with a dedicated emphasis on safety and efficiency.
Following the launch, the next steps involve the installation of jacking legs and cranes onboard, along with various technical installations. Subsequently, the vessel will undergo commissioning and testing of all systems, with a sea trial scheduled for mid-2024. Cadeler, in collaboration with the Classification Society, will rigorously test all ship systems during the sea trial.
The anticipated handover of Wind Peak to Cadeler is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024. The vessel represents a noteworthy addition to Cadeler's fleet, designed to enhance the company's capabilities in the offshore wind installation sector.
