Danish renewable energy firm Better Energy has announced the signing of a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Semler Gruppen, Denmark's leading car importer. Under the agreement, Semler Gruppen will purchase electricity to cover approximately 60% of the power requirements for its retail outlets in Jutland and Funen.
The PPA is tied to the construction of a solar park near Fraugde in Odense municipality, expected to generate 81 GWh annually and be grid-connected by mid-2024. The Fraugde solar park has also secured a PPA with Danish brewery Carlsberg.
