Ditrolic Energy to Develop 2.5 MWp Solar Power Systems for Manila Water in the Philippines

Malaysian clean energy solutions provider Ditrolic Energy has secured a contract to build and manage 2.5 MWp of power systems for Manila Water Company Inc, a prominent water supplier in the east zone of Metropolitan Manila, .

Under the terms of the 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA), Ditrolic Energy's Philippine unit will oversee the construction of three solar arrays at various Manila Water sites. The agreement includes the installation of a 0.5-MWp system at the East La Mesa Water Treatment Plant, as well as the addition of two sets of 1.0 MWp solar panels at the Cardona Treatment Plant and the San Juan Reservoir.

These solar arrays are designed to supply to each of Manila Water's facilities, contributing to a reduction in their reliance on conventional power sources, particularly during daytime peak demand periods.

This collaboration reflects the growing trend of integrating solutions within critical operations, aligning with global efforts to transition towards cleaner and more sustainable power sources. The project also underscores Ditrolic Energy's commitment to advancing clean energy initiatives in the Southeast Asian region.
