Océanide, a French wave physical model testing facility, has officially become a member of the offshore research institute France Energies Marines. With three decades of experience, Océanide specializes in conducting physical modeling of intricate offshore phenomena, along with prototyping and executing large-scale test campaigns across various sectors, including renewable energy and oil and gas projects.
The collaboration is poised to significantly contribute to the development of high-power and floating wind farms, addressing the technological challenges associated with floating offshore wind turbines. Océanide's expertise is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing the understanding of long-term viability issues related to high-power wind farms, as well as considering the impact of climate change and associated extreme phenomena.
