Cenergy Holdings has proudly announced that its subsidiary, Corinth Pipeworks, has been awarded two significant contracts by Società Gasdotti Italia (SGI), marking a substantial step in the expansion of the Italian gas pipeline network. The contracts, valued at over €10 million, entail the production and supply of approximately 82 kilometers of high-frequency welding steel pipes (HFW).
The first contract, which covers roughly 12 kilometers of DN 350 pipe, is focused on the replacement of a section of the Larino-Colleferro gas pipeline. This particular line plays a vital role in connecting the Adriatic region of the SGI network with the Tyrrhenian section.
The second contract encompasses the delivery of around 70 kilometers of DN 300 pipe to construct a new segment of the network known as “Lucera – San Paolo di Civitate,” situated in the Puglia region. This newly developed pipeline section is designed to facilitate the production and injection of biomethane into the network. Notably, both supplies will involve pipelines certified for transporting up to 100% hydrogen.
Corinth Pipeworks is at the forefront of innovative technologies and infrastructure, providing solutions for the hydrogen certification of newly established pipelines. The steel pipes required for these contracts will be manufactured at Corinth Pipeworks' facilities and will feature a three-layer polyethylene external and epoxy internal coating, applied at the same location as the pipe manufacturing, at the Thisvi plant in Greece.
This recognition awarded to Corinth Pipeworks is the latest in a series of contracts secured in collaboration with its Italian business partner, PIPEX ITALIA SPA. It reinforces the long-standing successful relationship and numerous prior contributions to pipeline development by the company.
