Spanish manufacturer Gonvarri Solar Steel has sealed an agreement to provide 37 MW of solar trackers for three distinct projects located in Colombia. The deal centers around the deployment of the company's TracSmart+ 1V trackers, featuring both single-row and dual-row configurations. These trackers are set to be delivered to solar initiatives within the Caribbean region of Colombia's Cordoba department, with each site boasting a planned power-generating capacity of 12.6 MW.
The precise terms and finer details of the contract have not been disclosed at this time. However, the statement released by Solar Steel, which is part of the Madrid-based steel group Gonvarri Industries, emphasized the company's extensive track record in the Latin American market.
Since 2005, Solar Steel has successfully supplied more than 3.9 GW of trackers and fixed structures to projects across the region, underlining its prominent presence and expertise in the field.
This latest endeavor signifies a notable step forward in Colombia's efforts to harness renewable energy sources, and it further solidifies Solar Steel's position as a trusted partner in the global solar industry.
