Energiequelle Launches Construction at Krummensee Wind Farm in Germany

, a leading renewable energy company, is celebrating the initiation of construction activities at the Krummensee in . The project envisions the installation of three wind turbines with a combined capacity of 12.6MW.

Presently, the focus is on developing the access road, establishing the crane parking area, and installing the fire water tank. The first of these turbines, an Enercon E-138 model boasting a hub height of 160 meters and an impressive output of 4.2MW, is anticipated to be operational by the summer of 2024.

While the construction of the first turbine is progressing, the initiation of construction for the remaining two machines faces delays due to ongoing legal proceedings. Energiequelle's project manager, René Straeter, expressed the team's satisfaction, stating, “The project team is delighted that we have been able to start construction of one of the three turbines. After six years of planning, it is a special milestone when construction begins.”

The Krummensee wind farm represents a significant step in Germany's commitment to expanding its renewable energy capacity. The project underscores the challenges and complexities involved in navigating the regulatory landscape while advancing sustainable energy solutions.
