Highfield Solar and Meta have joined forces to secure two long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs) with a combined capacity of 276MWp. These agreements are set to draw energy from operational solar farms located in Meath and Wexford, bolstering Meta's operations in the country.
The PV projects, meticulously developed, financed, and constructed by Highfield, represent a substantial investment of over €180 million in clean energy infrastructure. This collaborative endeavor between Highfield Solar and Meta underscores the commitment to sustainable energy solutions in Ireland.
Peter Kavanagh, Managing Director of Highfield Energy, expressed his enthusiasm about the transaction, stating, “This transaction represents a significant step towards national targets in renewable energy and corporate power purchase agreements. We're delighted to work with Meta on these projects and want to thank all project stakeholders for their assistance.”
These CPPAs not only mark a milestone for Highfield and Meta but also signal Ireland's continued commitment to meeting its renewable energy targets. The operational solar farms in Meath and Wexford will serve as vital sources of clean energy, supporting Meta's operations in Ireland and contributing to a greener, more sustainable future.
