Vestas Secures 147MW Turbine Order from SR Energy for Horshaga Wind Project in Sweden

, a player in solutions, has clinched a substantial 147MW order from SR Energy to supply turbines for the Horshaga wind project in Uppvidinge municipality, located in southern . This strategic agreement encompasses the delivery, supply, and commissioning of 20 V162-6.2MW and five V150-4.5MW turbines.

The timeline for this significant project is well-defined, with turbine deliveries set to commence in the first quarter of 2025, followed by the completion of commissioning in the first quarter of 2026. Upon project completion, Vestas will provide comprehensive servicing for the turbines through a 35-year agreement.

Anna Schlasberg Wachtmeister, Vice President of Sales for Northern and Central at Vestas, expressed the company's pride in collaborating with long-term partner SR Energy on the Horshaga project. She noted, “We are grateful for the continuous trust in Vestas for the delivery and services to SR Energy's projects. This order underlines our shared focus on sustainable investments into the renewable energy transition in Sweden.”

Peter Zachrisson, Chief Executive of SR Energy, expressed anticipation for the positive impact of the Horshaga wind project on the Swedish system. He highlighted the project's significance, stating, “Wind park Horshaga will provide a welcome addition of renewable energy in southern Sweden and enable regional development and industrial transformation.
