LONGi, a prominent member of the Solar Module Super League, has entered into a letter of intent to provide what it terms “advanced modules” for various solar ventures in Indonesia. The agreement was formalized with key players in the Indonesian energy sector, including PT Adaro, a mining company, PT Medco, an oil and gas firm, and PT Energi Baru TSB, a power development company. Notably, this collaboration aligns with Singapore's initiative to import 4 gigawatts (GW) of low-carbon electricity from abroad, an initiative launched in 2021.
As of now, Singapore imports 3 GW of such clean electricity, with 2 GW originating from Indonesia. Furthermore, Adaro Solar International, a subsidiary of PT Adaro, has contributed 400 megawatts (MW) of low-carbon electricity to Singapore as part of this venture. Both nations are eager to establish a tightly connected electricity network to foster greater energy collaboration.

Although LONGi has not specified the specific modules it will supply to these companies or disclosed the projects that will utilise their solar panels, the company has made significant advancements in its manufacturing efforts in recent months.
During the SNEC conference held in China in May, LONGi unveiled its latest module, the Hi-MO 7 series, and proudly announced achieving an impressive conversion efficiency rate of 31.8% on a silicon-perovskite tandem cell. With these innovations in product development, LONGi anticipates strong commercial performance as it expands its global presence.
In other noteworthy developments, LONGi has become a participant in the Forward Faster initiative, a United Nations project designed to encourage corporations to work towards achieving the UN's sustainable development goals. Within this initiative, LONGi has committed to making meaningful contributions in two key areas: gender equality and climate action. The continued growth of this major solar manufacturer holds the potential to positively impact global decarbonisation efforts.
