Enefit Green Secures €180 Million Loan from European Investment Bank for Wind Farm Project

, a player in the sector, has inked a substantial €180 million loan agreement with the (EIB) to bolster its ambitious wind energy initiatives. This financial injection will primarily support the construction of the 255MW Sopi-Tootsi in , a project poised to significantly impact the country's energy landscape.

Scheduled for completion in 2025, the Sopi-Tootsi wind farm is projected to account for approximately 40% of the annual electricity needs of Estonian households. The agreement with EIB spans a term of 12 years, underscoring Enefit Green's commitment to long-term sustainable energy solutions.

Enefit Green's ambitious renewable energy portfolio encompasses the development of five wind farms and three solar farms across Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, and Finland. These projects collectively boast an impressive total capacity of 608MW.

In a promising update for 2023, Enefit Green has successfully completed and initiated operations at two key installations: the Purtse hybrid wind and solar farm in Estonia and the Zambrow solar farm in Poland. These facilities, with a combined capacity of 62MW, mark significant milestones in the company's journey toward green energy.

Looking ahead, the next six months hold the promise of additional accomplishments for Enefit Green. Anticipated completions include the 43MW Šilale 2 and 75MW Akmene wind farms in Lithuania, the 72MW Tolpanvaara site in Finland, and the 6MW Debnik and 3MW Estonia solar arrays in Poland and Estonia, respectively. These projects further underscore Enefit Green's dedication to expanding renewable energy capacity across the Baltic region.
