Back in February, the put forth a proposal to expand offshore wind power development in the Gulf of Mexico, aiming to integrate the emerging clean energy industry into a region known for its substantial oil and gas production.

The Interior Department will officially declare that the offshore wind power rights sale is scheduled for August 29, as stated by the White House. To further support the push for a green economy, President Biden plans to visit Philadelphia on the same day to address union workers. This visit comes as a part of the administration's efforts to ensure a just transition to cleaner energy sources and a sustainable future.
