All pin piles required for the Changfang and Xidao offshore , with a capacity of 589MW, have now been successfully installed in Taiwan, according to , a leading maritime specialist. The final pin pile, measuring 70 meters in length, was recently installed by Boskalis' crane , Bokalift 1, which has been actively involved in the project.

Over the course of the past three months, a total of 108 pin piles have been successfully installed, marking a significant milestone in the development of the offshore wind farm. The majority ownership of the wind farm lies with , a leading investor in renewable energy projects.

In addition to installing the pin piles, Boskalis is also overseeing the installation of the jackets, which provide structural support for the wind turbines. This process is being facilitated by Boskalis' heavy transport vessel, Mighty Servant 3, which is responsible for transporting the turbine foundations from Taipei to the designated site of the wind farm.

To ensure the smooth execution of the jacket installation, two construction support vessels, namely BOKA Atlantic and BOKA Tiamat, are engaged in providing crucial supporting activities. These vessels play an essential role in ensuring the successful completion of the installation process.

The progress made in the installation of pin piles and the ongoing efforts to install the jackets reflect the significant advancements in Taiwan's offshore wind energy sector. The Changfang and Xidao offshore wind farm is poised to contribute significantly to the country's renewable energy goals while further solidifying Taiwan's position as a leader in the field of offshore wind power.
