Downing LLP has acquired the Higher Witheven Solar project in Launceston, Cornwall, as it continues to expand its UK renewable energy portfolio.
The company said the transaction strengthens its ready-to-build solar pipeline and supports the broader energy transition. Grid connection and full project completion are expected in the fourth quarter of 2027.
Downing added that the project has been designed with biodiversity enhancements and a landscape-led approach alongside power generation.
Sean Moore, senior investment director at Downing, said: “We’re delighted to be acquiring Higher Witheven Solar.
“The acquisition aligns with Downing’s long-term investment strategy, which focuses on building and managing high-quality renewable energy assets that deliver stable returns while supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon energy system,” he added.
