German renewable energy developer PNE has received permits for two onshore wind projects in Germany with a combined installed capacity of 54 megawatts, the company said.
The approvals, granted in the fourth quarter of 2025, cover the Am Heilborn wind farm in Thuringia and the repowering of the Hassendorf site in Lower Saxony. PNE said the projects are expected to supply enough electricity to meet the annual demand of around 24,600 three-person households once commissioned.
The Am Heilborn project, which consists of the Am Heilborn I and II sections, will comprise five Vestas V172 turbines, each rated at 7.2 MW, for a total capacity of 36 MW, the company said.
At Hassendorf, PNE has secured full consent for the installation of three Vestas V150 turbines with a combined capacity of 18 MW, completing the permitting process for the repowering project.
“The current permits are an important step for our growing project portfolio in Germany,” said Roland Stanze, chief operating officer of PNE AG.
“They demonstrate our high level of expertise in complex permit procedures and lay the foundation for the further expansion of our own generation capacities and our commitment to an economical and sustainable energy transition,” he added.
