Vestas has secured wind turbine orders totalling 862 megawatts (MW) across Australia, the United States and Canada as part of its fourth-quarter order intake, the Danish manufacturer said.
The company said an undisclosed customer in Australia has placed a 288-MW order covering 40 V172-7.2MW turbines. The contract includes a 30-year service agreement, with delivery and commissioning scheduled for 2027.
“The 288MW deal includes a 30-year service agreement,” Vestas said in a statement.
In addition, Vestas said it has received further orders amounting to 574 MW in the United States and Canada, although it did not disclose details on customers, turbine models or delivery timelines for those projects.
The latest contracts add to Vestas’ order book in key wind markets as developers in Australia and North America continue to advance large-scale projects supported by long-term service arrangements.
