Wind turbine maker Vestas said it has received 320 megawatts of turbine supply orders from the United States, adding to a recent run of onshore wind deals across several international markets.
The company said the agreements cover “undisclosed projects” in the U.S., without providing details on customers, turbine models or delivery timelines. The orders will be recorded in Vestas’ fourth-quarter order intake, it said.
Vestas, the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer, has announced a series of onshore wind supply contracts in December, including an 828-MW order in Brazil, a 313-MW agreement in Australia and a 277-MW deal in Finland.
The latest orders follow strong growth earlier in the year. In its third-quarter results published last month, Vestas reported a 60% year-on-year increase in onshore wind order intake, highlighting continued demand despite volatility in global energy markets.
The company did not disclose the financial value of the U.S. agreements.
