GE Vernova said it has signed an agreement with PPC Renewables to deliver 14 turbines for a new wind project in Vaslui county, Romania, adding 85 megawatts to its onshore wind portfolio in the country.
The deal, booked in the second quarter of 2025, covers 6MW units with 158-metre rotors. GE Vernova said the contract builds on an earlier order for 23 turbines announced in September 2024 and comes a week after it secured an agreement to supply 42 machines for Greenvolt Power’s Gurbanesti project.
Once completed, the Vaslui wind farm is expected to generate enough power for about 38,000 households, according to the company.
“We are pleased to deepen our collaboration with PPC Renewables in Romania, strengthening our commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions,” said Gilan Sabatier, chief commercial officer for GE Vernova’s onshore wind business in international markets.
