CDWE has completed the installation of 22 jacket foundations for the 300-megawatt Taipower 2 (TPC 2) offshore wind project, located in the Taiwan Strait, the company said on Wednesday.
The foundation installation campaign was carried out using the heavy-lift vessel Green Jade, and was delivered on schedule while meeting all client specifications, according to CDWE.
“The campaign was successfully executed on schedule using the heavy-lift vessel Green Jade, meeting all client requirements,” the company said in a statement.
CDWE, a joint venture between CSBC Corporation and DEME Offshore, expressed appreciation for the contributions of its project partners, team members, and the crew of Green Jade for their role in the operation.
The company said it is “honoured to continue supporting Taiwan’s clean energy transition through the TPC 2 development,” part of the island’s broader efforts to increase offshore wind capacity as it phases out nuclear and coal-fired generation.
TPC 2 is being developed by Taiwan Power Company and is part of the government’s offshore wind programme, which targets 5.6 GW of capacity by 2025 and aims to further expand through the 2030s.
