Cenergy Holdings subsidiary Hellenic Cables has secured a contract from offshore contractor Seaway7 to supply submarine inter-array cables for the East Anglia 2 offshore wind project, the company said on Thursday.
The scope of the contract includes approximately 165 kilometres of 66kV inter-array cables and related accessories. The agreement covers the full cable lifecycle from engineering and design to manufacturing, testing, and delivery.
Production will take place at Hellenic Cables’ submarine cable plant in Corinth, Greece. Manufacturing is scheduled to begin in 2026, with final deliveries expected in the first half of 2027.
The East Anglia 2 wind farm, developed by ScottishPower Renewables, is part of the broader East Anglia Hub located in the southern North Sea, approximately 32.6 kilometres off the coast of Suffolk, England. The project will include up to 64 turbines and is designed to deliver up to 960 megawatts (MW) of capacity—enough to power around one million households.
Hellenic Cables said the contract builds on its existing collaboration with both Seaway7 and ScottishPower Renewables, following a previous award for the East Anglia THREE development.
“We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Seaway7 and ScottishPower Renewables, contributing to the realisation of the East Anglia offshore hub with reliable and high-quality cable solutions,” said Kostas Savvakis, General Manager of Hellenic Cables.
