Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has signed a contract to supply 40 megawatts (MW) of wind energy capacity in Poland, the company said on Monday. The customer and project name have not been disclosed.
Under the agreement, Vestas will deliver, install and commission 10 of its V138-4.2 MW turbines, configured to operate in 4.0 MW mode. The project also includes a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract.
Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with commissioning scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
“This order reaffirms our commitment to supporting the growth of renewable energy in Poland and across the region,” the company said in a statement.
The deal adds to Vestas’ portfolio in Central and Eastern Europe, where increasing demand for clean energy continues to drive new wind development.
