VH Global Energy Infrastructure has energised a solar and battery storage hybrid project in New South Wales, marking the latest milestone in the firm’s Australian renewable energy programme.
The facility, which was completed on time and within budget, combines a solar photovoltaic plant with a 4.95-megawatt (MW), two-hour battery energy storage system. The project is currently undergoing a ramp-up process as prescribed by the local network operator, the company said on Monday.
A second hybrid asset within the programme is scheduled for energisation in the third quarter of 2025.
Once the rollout is complete, VH Global’s Australian portfolio will comprise 37MW of solar generation and 60 megawatt-hours (MWh) of battery storage capacity across seven locations in New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia.
