Vestas has appointed Raphael Huot as vice president of onshore sales in Asia, the company announced, as it seeks to expand its presence in the region’s growing wind energy market.
Huot brings over 15 years of experience with the Danish wind turbine manufacturer, having held operational and commercial leadership roles across North and Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
The company said Huot’s international background and understanding of global energy markets will support its strategic objectives in Asia’s onshore wind sector.
“Asia’s onshore wind sector offers tremendous potential,” Huot said. “I look forward to working with customers, industry stakeholders, and our talented Vestas team across the region to accelerate the introduction of onshore wind and support the energy transition in Asia.”
Vestas has continued to expand its footprint in Asia amid increasing demand for renewable energy and national commitments to carbon neutrality across the region.
