Turbine manufacturer Nordex has received its first order from GETEC Green Energy to supply and install wind turbines for a 49-megawatt project in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, the company said on Wednesday.
The order includes seven N163/6.X turbines from Nordex’s Delta4000 series for the Zerbst wind farm, which is being expanded by GETEC. Installation of the turbines on 164-metre-high hybrid towers is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2026.
The project site is located on a repurposed military airfield in the city of Zerbst.
Nordex has also signed a long-term service agreement with GETEC, committing to maintain the turbines for a period of 20 years.
This marks the first collaboration between the two companies and underscores Nordex’s continued expansion in the German onshore wind market.
