Chinese company Zhejiang Windey has agreed to provide, assemble, and maintain wind turbines for 110 MW wind farm projects in Serbia, according to a statement from Serbia's Fintel Energija.
The deal includes the supply of turbines for the Kosava project's second phase, as well as the Kula 2,3, and 4 projects in northern Serbia, and the RAM project in eastern Serbia.
Windey will supply 28 turbines for the projects, including 19 WD164 3.6 MW turbines, 3 WD 164 3.3 MW turbines, and 6 WD172 5 MW turbines. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
The deal also entails a ten-year service and maintenance agreement, which will require Windey to establish a local service division based in Belgrade.
“This highlights our ability to build value in our portfolio projects, by advancing them to more mature stages and higher valuations,” said Fintel Energija CEO Tiziano Giovannetti.
Fintel Energija is a subsidiary of Fintel Energia Group of Italy and the MK Group. It last had shares traded at 630 dinars on the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
Windey is a state-owned enterprise that specializes in wind energy solutions, including research and design, operation, and maintenance for global clients.
