Renewable energy firm Greening has secured €35 million in financing from investment manager Qualitas Energy to support the construction and operation of a 90-megawatt portfolio of solar projects in Spain.
The funding agreement, which is being executed through Greening Investments Desarrollos España (GIDE), covers both projects that are currently under construction and those already connected to the grid. Capital will be disbursed in tranches over the next three years, tied to the achievement of construction milestones certified by an independent technical agent.
“This financing agreement with Qualitas Energy represents a new impetus to continue consolidating our growth and our commitment to the energy transition in Spain,” said Ignacio Salcedo, CEO of Greening. “The trust placed by Qualitas Energy in Greening highlights the strength of our projects and our ability to execute.”
According to the company, the financing will enable further development of the solar portfolio, while also supporting Greening’s strategic goal of reinforcing its presence in the Spanish renewable energy market.
“With this transaction, we are making progress in the development of this portfolio that will not only contribute to the development of a more sustainable energy model, but will also strategically strengthen our market position and business growth,” Salcedo added.
The agreement reflects growing investor interest in Spain’s solar energy sector, which continues to attract capital as the country works toward meeting its renewable energy targets.
