Swedish renewable energy developer OX2 has appointed Rebecca Karlsson as its new Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer. Karlsson, who has served as the company’s head of sustainability, will continue to lead initiatives in that area and join the executive team in her new role.
Karlsson, who has been with OX2 for nearly six years, previously held various positions within the company. Before joining OX2, she worked as communications and marketing director for international companies. She succeeds Katarina Grönwall, who recently left the company.
“I look forward to continuing to contribute to OX2’s mission to accelerate the transition to renewable energy and together with colleagues and partners develop sustainable projects that add long-term value,” Karlsson said.
OX2’s CEO, Paul Stormoen, expressed confidence in Karlsson’s leadership. “I look forward to working with Rebecca in her new role. She knows the company, is a great leader and an appreciated colleague. I also want to thank Katarina Grönwall for all the hard work the last years and I wish her all the best in her next chapter,” Stormoen said.
OX2 operates in nine markets across Europe and Australia, with a renewable energy portfolio that includes onshore and offshore wind, solar, and storage projects. The company’s total portfolio, which covers development, construction, asset management, and operations, amounts to approximately 33 gigawatts (GW).
