Eurowind Energy Romania is moving forward with a major project in Botoșani County, targeting an installed capacity of approximately 1200 MW. The project will be developed in phases and include nine wind farms spread across nine communes in northern Botoșani, with a completion timeline extending to around 2031.

The company has already made significant progress, having secured land rights, submitted a grid connection application, and obtained initial urban planning certification. The next step in the process will involve engaging with local communities, authorities, and other stakeholders to finalize the project's timeline, design, and technology choices.

Adrian Dobre, Country Manager at Eurowind Energy Romania, emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating, “We're committed to a transparent and collaborative process with all relevant parties. While the project is still in its early stages, the potential impact is significant. With an estimated total investment exceeding one billion euros, this complex could not only strengthen Romania's renewable energy capacity but also enable the country to become a major energy exporter in the region.”

In the near term, Eurowind Energy Romania's team is focused on the completion of two renewable energy projects set to begin operations this year: the Teiuș photovoltaic park (60.2 MW) in Alba County and the Pecineaga wind farm (48 MW) in Constanța County.
