Carlos Martin Rivals Steps Down as CEO of BlueFloat Energy

Carlos Martin Rivals, the CEO and founder of BlueFloat Energy, an offshore wind developer, announced his decision to step down from his position in a post on LinkedIn this morning. Rivals, who founded the company in 2020 with the support of 547 Energy and Quantum Capital Group, stated, “After careful thinking I’ve concluded that it is the right moment to turn the page on my role in the company I founded with the support from 547 Energy and Quantum Capital Group in 2020 and move forward to explore other opportunities.”

Rivals expressed his gratitude for the chance to develop offshore wind energy in both existing and emerging markets. He said, “I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to contribute to the development of offshore wind across many markets.”

He also took the opportunity to thank key individuals who had supported him throughout his tenure. Rivals extended special thanks to Gabriel Alonso, describing him as “an inspiring leader who has provided frequent guidance and encouragement over these years.” He further acknowledged the invaluable assistance from 547 Energy and Quantum Capital Group, stating, “Nothing would have been possible without such strong support.”

In his closing remarks, Rivals thanked his colleagues at BlueFloat Energy for their contributions and teamwork.
